In order to take the Florida exam for Life, Health and Variable Annuities, you need to pass a 40-hour state approved class and receive a completion certificate to prove to the state that you have done so. We have been doing classroom classes for a long time, and we have provided the pmreview.com study site for more than eleven years to assist students as the tests have become more difficult. As the Internet has become friendlier, and the cost of gasoline has increased significantly, another option is appropriate.

We have "partnered" with the Florida Insurance Licensing Association on-line school to offer the Florida 40 hour class, completely on-line including the exam for the 40-hour class (you don't have to drive somewhere in the rain to take the test). This class is one part of the prepartion for students who wish to take the 2-15 exam for the Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuities license. This also authorizes the student to take either the 2-14 exam for the Life and Annuities license, or the 2-40 exam for the Health license if the combination license is not needed.

Currently this is only available for those interested in a Florida license. We are working on other states and will be adding them as they become approved.

The cost of the course is $150 which also includes a 60 day use of our pmreview.com study site. You may use both simultaneously, or you may wish to use the pmreview.com site at the conclusion of the on-line 40-hour class. You will be able to download a course-completion certificate at the conclusion of the course. That is what is needed to qualify you to take the state exam through the Promissor testing company. Your results will automatically be sent to the State of Florida Office of Insurance Regulation so you won't have to send the certificate to them.

A word to the wise: you may have heard that the pass-rate for on-line classes available in the past was rather dismal. There is quite a bit of truth to that. There are several reasons, but we have addressed that issue by using a more comprehensive on-line course and combined that with the pmreview.com exam preparation. As stated previously, the pmreview has been available in Florida for more than ten years, with Georgia and Alabama following closely behind. Our on-line study review has been very successful for that length of time simply because it works. It is interactive and contains information as to why the right answer is correct as well as why the wrong answers are wrong. It is state-specific to Florida! Info

Another factor: most of the on-line classes use their own material to "teach you insurance" and how to pass the test. They don't use the "Florida book" written by the FAIFA. Unfortunately, the exams in Florida are taken from the FAIFA Florida textbook. Now doesn't it make sense to use the same book the state uses to make the exams? We strongly encourage students to get the book. The questions on the pmreview.com site are directly related to the book and the material in the book... and the same material is found on the state exams.

Now for some ordering specifics and the buttons below:

1. Click on the top button below to register for the 40-hour on-line class. The dollar amount shown is $199. There is a box asking for a Coupon Code. Put 9save into that box. That will reduce the price $9. You will then be able to choose if you wish to have the FAIFA book sent to you, or if you decline that option, you will automatically reduce the price $40 (on the credit card page, there is a button that says, "Remove the book"). Therefore, using the 9save code, the final cost is $150 without the book, or $190 (plus S&H and tax) if you wish the book sent to you from us in Orlando.

2. After you sign up and become a student with the Florida Insurance Licensing Association, you can then register for our pmreview.com study site. When you are ready, go through the normal ordering process on our site, and when the credit card number is needed in our form, instead of using a credit card number, use the user name you were given for the Florida Insurance Licensing Association 40 hour on-line class. You will still need to choose a valid expiration date such as 11/09. You can make that one up, but choose a date in the future.
